Cleaning technology of Home Decor glassware (including cover slides and slides) Note: strict safety precautions must be taken for all cleaning work! Cleaning method of glassware (1) First, prepare a cleaning agent (also called lotion): 200mg potassium dichromate, 1000ml water, 1000ml concentrated sulfuric acid (for industrial use). First, potassium dichromate is dissolved in water, and then concentrated sulfuric acid is dropped into potassium dichromate aqueous solution to prevent sulfuric acid splashing. When ready, place it in a glass container with a glass stopper to prevent air oxidation. The lotion can be reused until it turns blue black. (2) Boil the glassware to be cleaned in soapy water for 0.5 hour. (3) Then rinse with water and dry in the oven (or naturally dry). (4) After drying, soak in the washing solution for about 10 minutes. (5) Rinse with running water and dry (or dry). (6) Store in a dustproof place for future use. 2. The cleaning method of new cover glass and new glass slide is relatively simple. It can be soaked in 2% hydrochloric acid alcohol (100 parts of 95% alcohol plus 2 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid) for several hours, washed again with flowing water, let the water drop dry, immersed in 95% alcohol, and then stored for future use. 3. Cleaning method of old cover glass and slide (1) Boil the specimens that do not need to be preserved in soapy water for 5-10 minutes. (2) The residual paste is washed off in hot water. (3) After washing with clean water, let the water drop out. (4) Soak in the washing solution for about 30 minutes. (5) Rinse with clean water and distilled water to discharge water drops. (6) Immerse in 95% alcohol for storage. In the process of use, remove the alcohol from the cover glass and slide, and wipe both sides of the slide with clean gauze. Wipe the cover glass carefully and evenly to avoid cracking.
